Hey Everyone.

I have a Windows PC that I would like to begin using for audio recording and production using Pro Tools 11. I have always used Pro Tools on OSX so I'd like to make a second drive set so that I can boot OSX and Windows 7. Just wondering if there are any glaring issues with my hardware. I read a thread on 7xxx series graphics cards that looked like people were having good luck.

Asus Sabertooth z77
Intel i5-2500k
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz DDR3
Asus DirectCUII 7970 GHz Edition
Cooler Master Silent Pro 850W PSU

My Windows drives are:
Intel 520 series 250GB SSD
WD Blue 1TB HDD

I wouldn't hesitate to buy the same drives for my OSX, however I see the site recommends Samsung SSD's. Not sure if there's a big difference. Also I honestly don't really care what version of OSX I use past SL but I'd prefer Maverick if it'll work. I also am aware that the hardware is optimized for gaming and not audio production, but I'd like to at least see if I can even do this before I shell out a couple grand for a new rig.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,
I don't know if your graphic card is compatible, but i'm going to search about it.
Your CPU, memory and Mobo will nop be a problem.
