i use dummyhda for applehda in 10.6.8

All kexts should be installed to the system volume.

I just found not inject in 10.6.8

No problem in 10.11

Not all kexts work with injection. Injection is only needed for reaching the installer and recovery partition. And, of course, CodecCommander is not needed for either of those tasks.
