A lot of uncomfortable shifting around at the beginning, just started watching.

Fascinating talk.

Key takeaways for me were:
  • When they spoke about "care" and the Zune.
  • When Jony said "we never spoke about the business".
  • How all three repeated that Steve just wanted to create great products.
  • Disruption was never a goal, it was a consequence.
  • The one word descriptions of Steve.

Apple doesn't support RCS.

"Buy your Mom an iPhone." Why doesn't Tim just send her one for free ? He can afford it.

I enjoyed that!. It was a big theme amongst everyone on stage, care and keeping it simple, privacy and empowerment and Steve Jobs lack of couches!.

The evolution of messaging is interesting.

I remember when AOL's AIM dominated messaging... Then came BBM... Apple never resorted to trying to force anyone to use Messages. They just built a better product and the rest took care of itself.

I see RCS as a competing product from competitors trying to remove one of iOS's differentiators. They would like nothing more than to remove all differentiators so that their own phones are just like iPhones. I see no sensible reason for Apple to adapt this. If RCS is a better product and there's mass adaption, it will take care of itself.

Zen style minimalism. What would would Steve have thought of your desk ?
I can't imagine what Steve would think, but he'd probably appreciate the Hello!

Why the big desktop cleanup ? What's gotten into you Craig ?
