Hi Rehabman.
I have an external monitor with VGA and HDMI inputs. I want to connect it as a second monitor.
When I connect it directly via VGA cable, the monitor is not detected. VGA No Signal.
If I am to use that monitor, would it be less hassle to just buy a DP-to-HDMI adapter to use the external monitor's HDMI port instead? Or even after buying that adapter, I still need to do additional procedure to get the monitor detected? I badly need to use a larger monitor. My eyes are straining already from my laptop's poor resolution.
