I'm using an Asus mobo and I wonder if I can install Yosemite with Clover. (will I have some benefits and which)
For now everything works fine with Multibeast install except iMessage, but it is not mandatory to me.
I have one disk drive free for testing a Clover install.
I already install Yosemite with Clover method but after 3rd boot it freezes.
Could someone tell me and show me which settings I have to check/uncheck?
On Multibeast I had a problem with USB (it's freezes after second boot on one third of boot stripe) and after I checked USB 3.0 Misc tab, all works fine.
Thanks

EDIT: USB 3.0 - universal is now checked in configuration

I would like to Beelzebozo contact me

Stick with Chimera for non-UEFI motherboards. I don't use Clover on my P7P55D build.

Secondly, a few of those MultiBeast options are not necessary.

Remove the following:
  • ACPI rollback kext - not required for LGA 1156 motherboard.
  • USB 3.0 - P7P55D doesn't have any USB 3.0 ports.
  • SMBios should be Mac 3,1 or any other one that is close to a LGA 1156 Mac.

If you're still bent on using Clover, follow tonymacx86's Clover guide which you can search for on the forum. It addresses legacy builds.

thanks
SMBios is a MacPro3.1 (I forgot to change)
I know that P7P55D don't have USB 3.0 but after I checked that option I can boot normal. Without that the boot stripe came only to 1/3 and it stop.
For ACPI rollback i think I found somewhere that and thats why I include into. Is it wrong to be included into or it doesn't matter?

As a matter of Clover, I just install on my empty disk drive and everything is just fine for now.

I also put an screenshot from my last unsuccessful boot by Chimera (I think it is before USB issue).
Could you tell me what is wrong here?

Your graphics card may not be supported, I'm seeing references to a Radeon GPU. You better look it up.

The issue is more likely that it is not supported in Chimera to boot OS X but I'm speculating. Search the forum for builds that include your graphics card to confirm.

Hi,Beelzebozo

I have the same mobo as you do :

Asus P7P55d - CPU Intel I5 Quadcore 750 - GPU AMD Radeon 7850

Have you made Power management working on that mobo ?
Also, can you help me to figure out what to do for my GPU : AMD Radeon 7850
It have Full QE/CL but HDMI is not working at all.
And do you have an SSDT.aml for that mobo
As i cannot extract it anymore using PikerAlpha script.

Thanks.
Benjamin
