Hi all,

I try to migrate my working Yosemite installation to Clover to be able to upgrade to El Capitan.

First I checked this guide, but missed an installation advice:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/basics/171680-clover-basics-switching-advice.html

The I followed the link to this guide and steps 1 and 2 to create a bootable USB stick:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...-el-capitan-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

Then I tried to boot Yosemite from the USB stick, which works fine.

Then I downloaded Clover 3346 from SourceForge and installed it with the post-install settings from this guide:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html

Then I cleaned up the Chameleon stuff by using the hints from the first link:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/basics/171680-clover-basics-switching-advice.html

And now -drum roll- my system crashes on boot with a kernel panic:

Code:
"Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n~@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-2782.50.1/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1590"
panic.JPG

Then I thought "Well, it still boots from USB, so I'll simply use the "EFI" folder from the USB stick".
But this does not change anything, the error persists.
I'm glad that I'm able to boot with the USB stick.

Any ideas where to start?
Maybe there is an "all-in-one guide" so that one does not have to jump between the guides. ;)

Thanks a lot.

Wow - not all at the same time, please! ;)

Other ideas:
- How can I remove Clover completely from the system and start from scratch?

My system has a legacy BIOS, but also an EFI partition which is empty.
- Where does Clover need to be installed in this case or does it not matter?

UPDATE:

- updated OS to El Capitan
- reinstalled Clover r3320 Legacy from http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=294
-> no success
- replaced EFI folder with EFI folder from working USB stick
-> no success
- checked the "Kernel panic" section from www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-deskt...st-solutions-el-capitan-install-problems.html
- reinstalled Clover r3320 UEFI from http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=294
-> no success
- replaced EFI folder with EFI folder from working USB stick
-> no success

Btw, the error has changed. Now it is:
Code:
"Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n~@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-2782.50.1/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1665"

Who can help to boot the system without the USB stick again?
