Clover Instant Reboot During Installation

Followed RehabMan's guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...de-booting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover.html to prepare Clover USB drive in legacy mode, using config_HD3000_1366x768.plist as the base for config.plist.

After booting from USB drive, clover bootloader immediately triggered a reboot for the laptop. Due to the reboot, not able to capture any screen outputs.

Zip file for the EFI/CLOVER directory is attached.

Please help.

Patched ACPI not needed for installation. Remove.

The config.plist is not from my guide.

GenericUSBXHCI.kext is not the current build.

- redo patch for DSDT, not sure which one is ACPI, but here the full list I did:

- take config_HD3000_1366x768.plist without changes (just rename)

- update GenericUSBXHCI.kext to the current build.

The USB boot process still went into a reboot...Obviously I am missing something.

Patched ACPI (DSDT/SSDTs) not needed for installation. ACPI/patched should be empty.

Your config.plist is corrupt. It appears to be HTML, not XML. Be sure to follow the download instructions in the guide carefully.

Removed everything under ACPI/patched directory

GenericUSBXHCI.kext still not current build.

Using GenericUSBXHC.kext from RehabMan-Generic-USB3-2015-1215.zip. If there is a more recent version, please provide link.

Your config.plist is corrupt. It appears to be HTML, not XML. Be sure to follow the download instructions in the guide carefully.

Downloaded zip, and used config_HD3000_1366x768.plist inside zip file.

During boot from Clover USB,

It showed the following error:

P-stat Stepper Error 18 at step 35 in context 2 on CPU 0

After a while, panic and rebooted

Read the guide regarding the alternate DropTables configuration.

The alternate is named #DropTables and is a bit more aggressive. Each configuration resides in config.plist/ACPI. You can use the alternate by renaming DropTables->##DropTables and renaming #DropTables->DropTables (in that order). Depending on how the OEM labels the tables, this may or may not work.

This did not work

If you still have issues, set config.plist/ACPI/SSDT/DropOem=true. You will need to set config.plist/ACPI/SSDT/Generate=true (or the individual CStates/PStates=true) to use DropOem=true or the alternate DropTables.

This solved the problem.
