clove configurator error

Hi fellow Hackintoshers,

On my Hackintosh, trying to fix persistent audio problems, I changed the sys setting from Mac: 3.1 to Mac: 6.1, and on booting I can now access the Splash Screen functions (see below), but can't get it to successfully boot to OSX (it keeps returning me to the splash screen, or it needs rebooting to get there). I've tried safe mode boot, and verbose boot (which runs a mesh of endless code, which I aborted and rebooted).

Clover Version 2.3k rev. 3577, EFI Revision 2.31, running on OSX 10.10.10 ... but the modification from 3.1 to 6.1 was via Clove Configurator.

It's also possible that I may have installed the NVDIA Webdriver 10.11.xx....

In one series of attempts it brings up the Apple logo in the boot-up screen, but it keeps falling back to the Gigabyte Splash Screen without completion.

Thank you for your help!

Cheers

Try to boot with this Bootargs (press "o" on clover boot) : nv_disable=1.
It should be start. Log you and use multibeast to choose MacPro 3,1

Thank you very much for the tip, Brithe1990!

I've tried to follow your advice, but am not sure if a) I made the change successfully; b) it saved it properly. See my screenshot below. How do I exit and retain the '0' value? (nv_disable=0) ... I have tried hitting the Escape key, but oddly get the nv_disable popping up twice .... (see screenshot).

I also scrolled to "Return", hit the Enter key and it tried to reboot, but quickly collapsed again. Upon rebooting to Clover, the nvda_drv=1 setting has returned ....

In Boot Args (press enter on Boot Args), delete all and type only "nv_disable=1". Press enter to save and Escape. Boot on your MacOS.

Hi Brithe1990:

I did manage to boot into El Capitan: thank you very much! As if the spell is broken!! :) But then I tried to get the audio going (and tried the Audio setting for the Realtek ALC 887 codec; the MacPro 3,1 was also set again. After that a problem again with the booting, and when I go into the Clover menu (which has one button more: "Boot Clover from EFI"), the Boot Args keeps flipping back to nvda_drv=1 -- even though I change it as you advised, Enter, and Escape before attempting the OSX boot. Occasionally it brings the Kernel Panic page ("Your computer restarted because of a problem"; the multilingual boot advice; hit a key or wait for it to reboot). The boot itself takes surprisingly long, especially for the last part.... so long that I reboot it, and end up in the Clover Boot Manager again, needing again to change the Boot Args ... it's like going in a circle .... :)

I've just waited once again a long time for the reboot string to finish ... but it won't complete ... :)

Any suggestions here?

This morning I have tried again, for the past hours, to get into El Capitan, but after taking an interminable time booting up, it hangs ... for maybe an hour ... once it moved to a white screen ... with the beach-ball rolling and rolling, but no El Capitan in sight .... for most of the course, see the screenshot appended .... it seems to get "almost" there, but can't manage to boot .... :)

Assuming I can at some point boot my Hackintosh again, should I run this patcher to address my Audio port problems? (see screenshot).

The version of Clover I'm presently trying to boot from (albeit unsuccessfully, still) is 3423. I have posted a screenshot of the clover version here.

I did just manage to get to a GREY screen, with the coloured beach-ball rolling and rolling ... and there it HANGS .... but does it mean that I have "nearly" been able to boot? Each time (again) I need to change the Options in Clover back to nv_disable=1.

Or is there something else I need to do? Here's a screenshot of the Gigabyte UEFI DualBios
