yes its wakes perfectly well with the power button only I can't put my finger on what would prevent it from waking from mouse or key board

This might be an USB misconfiguration issue.

am thinking that too I notice whenever I plug in any usb 2.0,3.0 or 3.1 usb device there's only 500 mV available for charging

You can use Hackintool for proper USB Port Patching. It also comes with short guide how to use Hackintool for that.

The initial step - hardware preparation

The most crucial step is hardware preparation for this set of parts. Troubles are guaranteed if you don't pay attention to proper hardware preparation.

• Upgrade motherboard BIOS
• Configure BIOS properly
• Upgrade Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 firmware
• Upgrade Radeon VII VBIOS

Can someone enlighten me as to how one does a VBIOS upgrade?

Hey @iLikeHackintosh, how are you doing with this build?

I just set up my build with pretty much the same parts. Got everything working, but I'm not getting the kind of geekbench results I've seen others get.

My last CPU benchmark showed SINGLE: 1317 and MULTI: 10087. I've seen people get up to 4 times as much as that.

GPU is showing OpenCL at 46535 and Metal at 55223.

This is without overclocking or any other changes. But I'm curious if you know of any steps I can take to optimise performance on the CPU and GPU? Some people seem to get great results straight from install, so I'm really bummed.

I'm running Mojave 10.14.6 as an iMac Pro.
