Hi all,

Just upgraded to Mavericks from Mountain Lion with UniBeast.

I am getting an error (link below) when I try to open MultiBeast. "MultiBeast" can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

I have checked in Security Options and my settings are to allow software installs from anywhere.

Anyone having a similar issue or have any thoughts on this? :) I am stumped.

Cheers

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

I already had that option disabled, just toggled it but still the same issue. Hmm

I, too have experienced this problem, which persisted after subsequent re-downloads of Multibeast 6. I do not experience this problem with Unibeast 3.

I am still using Mountain Lion 10.8.3. I wonder if I should I update to 10.8.5.

Jonfield44, we might be able to figure out the error if we can identify what our builds have in common. Are you also still on OS X 10.8.3?

Hi,

I am on 10.9 Mavericks, I upgraded from 10.8.5.

Had the same problem at first when just clicking on it. I moved Multibeast to the desktop, then right clicked on it, then chose open. That worked for me, no idea why.

I had the same problem, I managed to solve by doing the following:
open the terminal, sailed up to the folder where was MultiBeast.app, then ran the commands:

cd MultiBeast.app/Contents/MacOS/
sudo ./MultiBeast

And the application opened. Hope this helps, and sorry for my english "powered by google translator"

Well, the right click didn't do the trick for me, and Edstien's Terminal trick gave me a "sudo: /private/etc/sudoers is mode 0644, should be 0440" which is a whole 'nother can of beans to research, which I shan't finish tonight.

EDIT: Repairing permissions allowed me to open MultiBeast using the terminal trick, but it still does not open any other way. Still, open is open. I'm ready to rock.

This worked for me.

Certainly seems that we are having a permissions issue.
