Hi everyone, I've just completed my first build and I'm wrestling with getting 10.13.4 installed. I then started thinking, is there a way to simply clone my current macbook hard drive to my new SSD and then boot from the USB? If not, how will I eventually go about cloning my current hard drive to the new drive?

You can clone your MB drive, move it to your new build, boot it with UniBeast USB or Clover rescue boot USB and then install Clover. Clover can be installed from the booted clone of the MB (option key while power on, select clone to boot MB), but unless you are absolutely sure what you are doing and are careful, you might install Clover to the MB drive (not good thing to do at all), so I recommend moving the clone to the new build first, then install Clover.
