I want to make this a dual boot macOS (or OS X) and Windows 10. I am determined to get this working and I will get it working, but a little help would be great.

So far I have tried it with macOS Sierra and OS X El Capitan. Both of them appear as though they are loading the software, but do not complete. With Sierra, it gave me the black screen with the white slashed circle after the initial loading. With El Capitan it shows the Apple logo and appears to load, but freezes right before it gets to the ends. I tried disable the NVIDIA in the config file, but it then just gave me a black screen with a white underscore after the initial apple logo loading screen. I have tried just about everything in BIOS that I thought would cause this, but I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to BIOS.

* One quick note, I'm using Klems vBIOS mod, could that possibly be causing my issues?

My questions are:

1. Is it easy to update the OS once I get it working? If so, which OS is easiest to get working? i'm thinking about trying it with Yosemite, and then update to Sierra.

2. Do I need to load kexts in the installation USB? If so, how is this done? Any links to helpful info will be much appreciated.

3. Has anyone gotten this model laptop working with OS X or macOS? I have seen laptops with almost identical hardware that worked, so I know it's possible. I realize that it may not be 100%, but that's ok. I can always switch out the wireless card if needed, but I do want to get the main components (CPU, GPU, Chipset, etc) working.

Thank you in advance!

Attach output of 'lspci -nn' in Linux Terminal.

I'm sorry, I don't know to do this. I have tried to research it a little, but don't know how it relates to my situation. Could you possibly provide a little more info on this please? Thank you!

Thank you, I'm downloading Ubuntu now.

I'm curious, do I need to format my mSATA drive before doing this installation or alter Unibeast to do so? Right now, my drives are all unallocated. I wiped them clean using disk management in Hiren's mini XP boot.

To run a command as administrator (user "root"), use "sudo <command>".
See "man sudo_root" for details.

Is that what you needed? I appreciate your help with this very much. I am new to learning programming and have taken some classes, but it's all been web based so far. HTML5, Javascript, and PHP. I love it, and I want to learn it all, but I'm still a noob.

I didn't realize that mattered. Thank you for pointing that out, I will read through your thread right now. Thank you again!
