Hello,

I am following the official guide to install 10.10. When attempting to run the installer the apple logo appears and then it goes away and I get a circle with a slash symbol. IMG_0441.jpgIMG_0442.JPG

I have tried all of these boot flags:

-x
-v
-f
UseKernelCache=Yes
PCIRootUID=1
Maxmem=4096
Cpus=1
npci=0x2000
npci=0x3000
GraphicsEnabler=No
GraphicsEnabler=Yes

I realize that the verbose shows a problem with AHCI but i've tried everything related to that. I've tried a bunch of different driver settings. Nothing seems to work.

Here are my specs:

Sabertooth z77
Intel core i7 3770
GTX 780
32gb ram
180gb intel ssd

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hmm. I ran that and go the same symbol. With -v the output was the same.

I guess you ran 4 sticks of ram right? 32gb ram
Did you try unplug 2 sticks and try boot up with -x instead

Note: Do remember to press F8/F12 or whatever suitable to boot direct from Bios to USB installer.
