I've opted to run my iHack as an iMac13,1 (Late 2012), as I believe it offers the best compromise between features (AirPlay Mirror) and performance.

Really nice!

I´m about to build one with the same board/CPU. Now the question:

Does AirPlay Mirror work for you?
(Apple AirMirroring is I´m asking for, not "AirParrot")

Greetings from Germany!

You know what, I haven't actually gotten around to trying yet. I don't see why it wouldn't, though.

Have you updated to 10.8.3, If so any issues?

Problem solved. Apparently the onboard video was causing the issue. Setting the BIOS to initialize the GT640 first got my system booting and now I'm happily running 10.8.3.

Gang,

See MacMan's article on the OS X 10.8.3 and NVIDIA 6xx OpenCL Benchmarks issues.

Good hack. I´ve done the same config, and work fine!!!!!.
1.000 thanks for the info!!!!!.

Just updated to Mavericks and Mavericks.1 a few hours ago with one little hiccup:

I had to disable onboard video in order for Mavericks to boot. With onboard video enabled the system hung at the spinning apple logo.

Hi there. I have the same board and ram as you but the bios only sees 8GB for some reason? Any idea why? Did you update the bios? What version are you on?

Would it make a difference if I'm running a 2500K when it comes to RAM?

Thanks
