Chimera 2.1.0 works fine for me, but i can't log-in in iMessage app anymore. Maybe a fix in future?

2.1 broke iMessage for me as well. I didn't check the app store or anything else before i went back to 2.0.

Have a 10.8.4 installed from another system running fine,

Mirrored that install onto a new SSD for the new machine.

Z87-UD5H
i7 4770K
EVGA 8800GTS


Loaded Chimera V2.0.1 onto a USB and booted from that into the mirror of 10.8.4

Apple white logo appears but wont load, stays in that screen without the spinning loading symbol

Any ideas?

There is no support for Haswell in 10.8.4. The results of doing this will be the same as trying to install on Haswell. Even though Chimera supports it Mountain Lion does not.

Everybody seems to be confused about HD7XXX, including me.

What i understand is, now chimera knows what gfx model/series you have installed. That's it.
This means it is not booting properly without "workarounds" and "fixes".

Well, put it this way... I booted WITHOUT my nVidia 420 using only my AMD HD7970... unfortunately I have only managed this feat in 10.9 - 10.8 hangs at a grey screen upon log in... I think this is related to the nvram.plist or something, but I can't figure out what!

So the bootloader seems to let you boot on an AMD 7xxx - of note, with GE=NO I still get 7xxx in Sysinfo, so I think there is definitely some confusion, even from the great MacMan himself.

Chimera 2.1.1 is now available.

Changes:

• Reverted FileNVRAM to 1.1.2 to fix issue with iMessage login
• Includes most Chameleon 2.2 r2248 changes while retaining all previous Chimera v2.1.0 fixes and enhancements
