Nice! This was a major irritation, and I was never completely confident using the alternative bootloaders. I tried Clover (too confusing!) and then the version of Chameleon with the iMessage fix (worked, but I prefer to use the TonyMac tools because of the community support.)

What to do if I installed the latest chameleon and put the modules folder in extra? Should I remove the folder and update as normal?

You should removed modules folder and any chameleon things in Extra folder, install Chimera over Chameleon bootloader and reboot.

I can make all accounts work in Messages now apart from my actual old iChat account.
Do I need to do something to make that work ?

Could not be any simpler - I ran the Chimera v2.0.0 installer on 2013 CustoMacMini (i3- 3225 & GA-H77N-WIFI) and now have Messages. Thought I might lose sound - did not - and all is OK . Thank you.

tried it and i still get the iMessage login error plus i need unibeast flash drive to boot on ML​
