Chimera 1.9 - Dual/Triple NVIDIA GeForce with Stock DSDT!

I currently stuck at boot then I inserted the 2nd graphic card. :banghead: . I thought it will just work.

I am using the DSDT from the database. I will post screenshot later.

Any changes with the PCIRoot in plist? GraphicsEnabler=Yes btw.

I am dual booting Snow Leopard and Lion on the same HDD actually.

I read every post here on the thread ! i have like 10 or 12 old Nvidia cards laying around on shelf, i may have to try a few to see what shakes down

Nice work MM and TM :ugeek:

I had error with DSDT from the database.

After I removed it (actually just renamed it to something else) and removed npci=0x2000 from the boot parameter, then I can boot with both graphic card.

Motherboard: Asus P7P55D-E Pro
GPU 0: Galaxy GTX470
GPU 1: XFX 9400GT 512DDR2

Windows 7 x64bit, Lion 10.7.3 & Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

I noticed my GTX470 runs cooler and power draws lower because GTX470 doesn't have to clock higher to run dual monitors. Each GPU runs only a single monitor.

Juhu! Got it to work!

Got very anxious when i heard the news about the native driver. I have a Quadro 4000 for display GPU and 3 GTX580 to render.

I did not use the Nvidia drivers, just 10.7.3 and the OpenCL Combo Patch 10.7.2-10.7.3, reboot and it worked!
I could even install Lion with the display attached to the Quadro, and 1 GTX580 running.
No DSDT, just Easybeast.
I am still figuring out how to monitor the the temps of the GPU's, as i will use them a lot. iStat and FakeSMC plugins gave me only the CPU A,B,C,D, Northbridge, Ambient and CPUA voltage.
And audio and sleep are not working, but there should be a way to get those to work :)

Man, this is a big improvement!!! Awesome works guys! (Tonymac & Macman)
And of course everyone else for posting their experience

Luxrender seems happy :) so is Octane

What this numbers means?

After I saw this I checked mine and it shows 1811. I have two Graphics cards GA-GTX580-1536Mb and Asus 5770 1GB. Mountain Lion. CPU Intel Dual Core Quad 9650 3GHz with 8Gb of Ram DDR2.
I dont use DSDT because I don't know much about it ;).

What can I say? Thank you?

But I want to ask something: How many monitors working exp. with 2/3 cards? Of course at the same time. I know nobody (I doubt) got 6 monitors here but I'm curious. Because soon the "Buying Advice" section will flooded with questions like this. I want to prepare myself as possible as I can. :)

6 monitors was nearly essential for my application (medical image display).
I got 3 x 9800GT working with painful DSDT edits a while ago.
Having Chimera support this *greatly* improves my ability to upgrade the system without lots of downtime.

Can't wait to try this.... Great work!
