Cheers Gents, install 10.10.5 great, but having one issue repeatedly

So my 10.10 install went fine the only problem I am having is it after trying to install several of my generic programs Microsoft etc. etc. my computer froze which is kind of normal for computer, but the problem is when I do a hardware reboot of my computer (i.e. Via) the switch

I am not able to fully boot the next time around it always get stuck at waiting for root devices

Before I have to power down reboot the hardware I was able to boot without issue

After the reboot switchers pressed on the computer I can't boot ... Stuck at waiting for root device

Cool to get by it I booted with the safe flag -x

I am repairing permissions now it will reboot to see if that fixes my issue


Really what I'm trying to figure out is what is causing this problem?
is it a problem with power management od what?

For the record this fixed my issues, reinstall according to this guide fixed my issues -
