Checking compatibility for OS X 10.9.5 (Please, help)

Hi,

I'm completely new to a hackintosh thing and really in need of help!
First of all my desktop is 6 years old(or so) with those configs:

- ACPI base x86
-
DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, 2666 MHz (8 x 333)
-
Asus P5K-E (3 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 2 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394)
-
Intel Bearlake P35
-
2x 1 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz)
- BIOS
AMI (10/31/07)
-
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (512 MB)
-
Analog Devices AD1988B @ Intel 82801IB ICH9 - High Definition Audio Controller [A-2]
-
Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller
-
Realtek RTL8187 Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter

Please, tell me whether or not OS X 10.9.5 will work on this machine :geek:

In case of positive result o_O:D:clap: what is the best way to install: clover or multibeast?

Thank you! :)

Your motherboard and GPU should run OK with Mavericks, suggest a bit of searching out information:

4-8 GB of memory is going to be far better these days. 2Gb is going to feel sluggish.
I don't know about the USB wifi - it may or may not work.

Clover is very good but has a very steep learning curve - you would probably find that using UniBeast to install OSX and Chimera as your boot loader is a much simpler task certainly as a starting point. MultiBeast is a Post installation tool that can be used for a traditional boot loader or clover.

You need to have access to the Mac App store to download Mavericks - if you can do this then use the Mavericks guide as a general set of instructions to follow. If you need to use Snow Leopard then the App Store may decide that your hardware is too old to allow you to download Mavericks.

You milage may vary - read up how others have installed OSX on your motherboard. This thread might offer you some hope:

Thank you for a quick and very informative response! It helps!

I've prepared everything(that I thought of) for installation. Copy of Mavericks and tonymacx's software
that you have recommended above. Next weekend I will try :)

About USB Wi-Fi: it isn't usb connected via usb port. It is actually an ordinary wi-fi adapter with external antenna mounted to motherboard. Will it work?

Also, Should OS X Server have any issues after full integration/installation?

Thank you!!!! :)

Good luck, I suggest that you do some further reading research between now and then - there is at least one guide that has been done for Mavericks on this motherboard.

I have seen conflicted details on this subject - but the main balance of opinion seems to be that it does not work.

Also, Should OS X Server have any issues after full integration/installation?

The motherboard will run Mavericks, so running OSX server should be fine. Some people have noted problems moving large files when running OSX on PC hardware. One solution worth considering may be an HP server ethernet card that works with OSX if you do find problems in this area.
