Changing GPU

Hello,

I was thinking to buy this hardware:

Intel i7 4770k
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H
16Gb ram
SSD + HDD

Currently I have an ATI HD5850 that should be compatible. But maybe in a shortwhile I will change my GPU for some newer one.

What problems would I face firstly with this build, espacially the GPU because the other hardware should work more or less out of the box. And if I change the GPU do I have to reinstall everything completly ? When will the Nvidia 7** series and AMD 7*** series be compatible ?

The Nvidia 7 series is fully compatible, not so much for the ATi/AMD
