Any suggestions on how I can change it back considering I can't get into the system?

-v and -x don't work.

Tried booting from the unibeast lion install USB I made and that doesn't work either. I'm going to have to reinstall aren't I?

Fixed it using nano in single user mode. close away guys!! :D

Can you explain it? What you mean by nano? What did you exactly do?
I had the same problem yesterday and I had to reinstall MacOSX again.
Thanks

you probably do this: boot using the -s flag to get into single user mode, then follow the directions regarding fsck and mount. type cd /extra to get to the extra directory with the system definition file. type ls to list the directory contents... you should see the smbios.plist file that defines the computer. open it with nano by typing nano smbios.plist . make the necessary edits, exit, then reboot.
