Hey guys,

I updated my config to Catalina (10.15.3) few days ago. It is working perfectly. I'm not using FakeSMC but VirtualSMC.

I have only one problem: I cannot monitor CPU/GPU sensors, fan readings, etc... Everything is empty on iStat or HWSensors.

I installed last kexts from VirtualSMC :
SMCProcessor.kext
SMCSuperIO.kext

But they are not working for me... Any idea?

I hope someone could help me. Much appreciated!

Install the Intel Power Gadget and iStat menus should work.

Hi Tammm2. Have you tried installing HWMonitor2 HWMonitor Application using MultiBeast 12?. I've always had issues with iStat not reading temperatures or fan speeds. I used Intel Power Gadget to get an idea of temperatures. But the new HWM2 monitor seems to have it covered, even iStats now displays temperature.

Thank you P1LGRIM! It works for CPU with Intel Power Gadget. I can see CPU temperatures with this software (but not with iStats).

@craighazan I tried HWMonitor2 but it didn't find CPU sensors.

It's the same problem on iStats, all sensors are not here.

How can I activate them? an idea?
They are working because I can see them with Intel Power Gadget...

Thank you both for your help.

Did you install the VirtualSMC plugins using MB12?.

What is VirtualSMC plugins using MB12?

Is it kexts inside VirtualSMC folder?

I installed: SMCProcessor + SLCSuperIO. The 2 other ones are not interesting in my case (I don't use battery and light sensors).

I installed them like all other kexts. In my EFI folder + directly in L/E (by using Hackintool).

Using MultiBeast 12.1.0, it was updated yesterday. Drivers/Misc/Virtual SMC Plugins.

Theres no need to install the plugins in the L/E anymore, in fact the developers suggest only installing them in kexts/other in your EFI folder. You should remove them from L/E folder.

They’re plugins for applications to get the values from sensors of your computer. Removing any of them would not affect your macOS.

Thanks @craighazan.
I don't know why but this morning, CPU sensors are working... (only in HWMonitorSMC2, not on iStats, but it's ok I can monitor them).

I followed your advises and deleted kexts from L/E
