Catalina update issue

Installed Catalina a couple of months back, As usual it took a bit of legwork to get everything working. Tried to install macOS 10.15.3 yesterday and got the alert "This volume does not meet the requirements for this update". Any ideas?

Is it formatted in apfs?

have you tried boot arg. -no_compat_check

Yes, apfs. I entered the boot arg in the startup screen, still no luck, same error message.

I am facing the same issues when I downloaded the 15.5.5 update and tried to run it. Come someone help? I have seen this questions ask on other update versions also. My drives are APFS.
