Catalina to Big Sur upgrade? Yes or No? (direct upgrade question)

I’ve seen some Yes answers, and some NO answers.

Can I make the easy Catalina USB via Uni/Multibeast and then upgrade directly to macOS 11 Big Sur? Or do I have to hack w/OpenCore?

This guide shows it is possible and makes it look like a piece of cake!

And where can I get those EFI, confi, fake SMC, .plist, (any needed system files)? I don’t know how to create them..

And I believe Unibeast works but to upgrade I need to use OpenCore? I’ve seen Unibeast how to for B.Sur., but that doesn’t work with upgrading.

Just wondering which way I have to go, which would be easiest to get Big Sur on my PC? (it’s an i7 PC)..

Are you currently on Catalina with OpenCore? if so, you should be able to update directly. If you are on Clover, you can not. In that case you will need to follow this guide: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/prerequisites.html#prerequisites
