Hello everyone, I have been using Catalina build on my Samsung 960 EVO NVMe SSD for the past few months. Booting takes almost 2 minutes. In general opening application is also not instant. I have 16GB RAM and i7 7700 processor. When I compare this to my Mac Mini with PCIe based SSD, it feels super fast even with 8 GB of RAM. Right now my macCatalina OS version is 10.15.2 (19C57).

Everything works on my hackintosh build, but its only the slow booting time and all over slowness. I do not know what am I missing as everything works except the speed. I am attaching my EFI folder and the hardware info screenshot. Since everything is working fine I do not know which kext or settings are causing the slowness.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The Clover folder structure has changed, remove the redundant drivers folders :

Drivers.png

apfs.efi and ApfsDriverLoader.efi do the same job and are mutually exclusive - Use one or the other but not both.
The same goes for AptioMemoryFix.efi and OsxAptioFix2Drv.efi.

Kexts should be in one location only - /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other.
Remove USBInjectAll.kext from /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.14.
It is good practice to remove all of the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.* folders leaving just /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other.

Thanks for the reply and the help. I followed your instructions. But I doubt anything changed.
I am attaching my updated EFI folder. I also updated clover build. Could you please take a look again in case I missed something.

I followed your instructions
No you did not.

You still have the redundant drivers folders.
You still have both AptioMemoryFix.efi and OsxAptioFix2Drv.efi.

Now done. I have attached again the EFI folder after deleting the reduntant folders. Its hard to tell the difference, but I think , it(your instructions) have reduced the booting time by 5-6 seconds. Actually when I compare it to normal SSD with windows , the time is 2-5 seconds. In my case, on my hackintosh build with PCIe based ssd, its more than a minute. Please do let me know what else can I do to speed up things with my build.

install Blackmagic Disk Speed Test and report back the score.

Here(Attached) are the screenshots of the speed tests :

Stress level was set to 5 GB
