Catalina No sound

The problem is the file system is write protected and try as I might I cannot write enable it. It seams like Apple has protected the file system from beta 2

ALC card For me working after :

1 - Download latest LILU and AppleALC
2- Put kext in efi/clever/kext/other overwrite if existing
3 - open terminal
4 - sudo mount -uw /
sudo chmod -Rf 755 /L*/E*
sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /L*/E*
sudo chmod -Rf 755 /S*/L*/E*
sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /S*/L*/E*
sudo touch -f /L*/E*
sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E*
sudo kextcache -Boot -U /
sudo kextcache -i / && sudo kextcache -u /
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /
5 - Restart

After these operations, I can select in Audio output for my ALC1150, and its working

Audio is not working for me too.
Do i need to disable gatekeeper?
Do i need to make any changes in config.plist?

i have updated with sound alc1150 working in mojave .. i have removed only write protection with sudo mount -uw /
i have executed all the lines one by one ... if you dont see error after each line at the end ..restart
nothing other for me ...

I spent a day messing around with clover, changing various things, but in the end i used Hackintool to Install the Kexts to /L/E and rebooted, sound is now working for me (ALC889 on a Gigabye GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3)

My audio works via DP port but the optical out DOES NOT work? What do I need to do?

I have tried Post #22 method but no luck.

Hi, same motherboard here, can you explain me in more detail how you did it ?
when you say you install the Kexts to /L/E which Kexts are you talking off, where can I download them ?
