I am looking for new hackintosh.

I am doubting between these DDR3 memory sticks:

1) Dual channel cas10: Corsair Vengeance CML16GX3M2A1600C10
2) Quad channel cas9: Corsair Vengeance Low Profile CML16GX3M4A1600C9

What gives best preformance?

If there is no preformance difference, dual channel is better i guess

Temps and OC stability are better with dual channel... again, by only a hair (if that). And it's upgradeable to 32 GB in the future if you end up with some monster program in the year 2015 that actually uses it.

Also, you could always get lucky with a pair that will tolerate tighter timings than spec.

My vote is the dual-channel 10's. But in reality it doesn't matter.

2 x 8gb dimms does give the option of upgrading later on to 32 gb without having to toss out all the ram you purchased earlier. So it is worthwhile on that score alone.

Basically you want 1600mhz (PC3 12800) ram. Anything faster is pointless unless you are doing extreme overclocking and even then it's a marginal improvement in most things.

A difference of 1 in the CAS ratings is not significant.

The Vengence ram does tend to have stupidly large heats sinks on them that will interfere with the larger air coolers. So keep that in mind.

Great, dual channel it is! :)
