Card reader doesn't work...

When I tried using the card reader I noticed it doesn't work and that JMB38X.kext & HSSDBlockStorage.kext not even loaded.

Is there a way to make these load at startup?

I wonder if your laptop doesn't have the Jmicron card reader... What does Windows show in Device Manager?

RehabMan thanks , I already managed to resolve it by enabling card reader option inside bios.

My 4530 works perfectly except hdmi (10.7.4 update didn't resolve it.)

I have the same problem in my HP Probook 4530s. It is still working in OX 10.9.2 ?

The 4530s card reader works on all versions of OS X.

The kext used is provided by the ProBook Installer.
