I recently cloned my SSD boot up drive, installed the backup onto my new drive, now it wont boot up without USB installer ? - I changed to boot from new HD in bios also ! - I thought if i cloned the old bootable SSD then it should just boot up once bios is changed ????

you will need to re install clover to the new hard drive

carbon copy doesn't copy EFI

same as you did when you installed Yosemite

boot using your usb installer, then install clover, maybe you used multibeast?
