i have a samsung 960 evo NVMe. it doesn't show up in disk utility when loading the installer.
i've read i need to patch the clover plist, but on the usb drive i've created using UniBeast, i only see an empty efi-backups folder.

can someone please post a noob step-by-step to boot using NVMe drive?

BLKadder,

i have one drive installed, the evo 960, and no windows.

You will need to install Windows to discover your NVMe ACPI path.
It takes about 20 minutes (assuming you already have a Windows 10 install USB).

so can i install windows on that nvme drive, find out the acpi path and try to erase and install sierra on that same drive?

Of course.

Of course.

managed to install via usb. however i get a no entry sign when trying to boot from HD, and even from the clover USB.
verbose boot shows "still waiting for root device".

i've put the HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_5.kext in the clover/kext/other.
i don't understand how to inject it via clover to boot.

attaching my config.plist.

When you say "boot from HD", I assume you mean "boot from NVMe SSD"...
You must have the same Clover configuration as you have on USB...

yes, boot from nvme. i don't know what to do now. neither the ssd nor the usb drive boot.
