I fixed the problem with the drive. It was a BIOS setting restricting boot to UEFI devices.
Can you be more specific with the BIOS setting for this fix please? I have the same problem. After the initial boot from USB, I can install OSX on my SSD. The drive is recognized in disk utility and installation is successful on a brand new, journaled, and partitioned GUID SSD. After I restart and boot from USB again, I have no driver options in Chimera, just the original "USB" option. This brings me the installation page again, and around around I go.
