I am having the same problem.Tried almost everything.
After reading about chimera I followed next steps: (on my 10.7.4 system)
-Prepared USB drive (usual way)
-started Unibeast ML 1.5.2.
When Unibeast was done I downloaded Chimera 1.11.0 and installed on the USB drive.Also placed my DSDT.aml file (made it using DSDT auto patcher) inside EXTRA folder.
After this was done I restarted the system and booted from USB drive.(using flag -v)
System started to download all kext from USB drive. After a while..........ML Install appears on my screen

I let it install ML on my main HDD (first remove 10.7.4, is not a problem I have a Time machine copy)
This took a while and then the system restarted.But then the problem started.
System did not boot up
So I booted again but now from the USB drive.But somehow system did not find the USB drive.
Tried several times without luck, keep restarting the system and finally did. Then I saw the ML partition.
Started using -V. Kext where loaded and then.....system reboots again
No idea why.
Now I am trying to find a way to get Chimera installed on my ML partition. But I have no idea how to do this when ML is not booted.
