Hi. I'm using El Capitan as my main os and I patched applehda kext for alc282 and it worked perfectly fine. However, I can't do the same thing on Sierra. I am using the app applehda patcher. Now I have to use voodoohda to get sound working which is frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

If you're using Clover KextsToPatch, you may need an additional AppleHDA patch.

No. I'm just using HDAEnabler + patched AppleHDA. I did nothing on the Clover config.plist.

Make sure your patched AppleHDA is patched correctly (and installed correctly).
HDAEnabler not recommended. Do the required DSDT patches instead.
