Hi there.

I have the following configuration on my machine

Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme4, flashed to bio version 2.90
CPU: i5 3570k
GPU: ATI HD4850 512Mb

I was able to install snow leopard retail CD using iboot ivy bridge 1.0 CD.
Upgraded to 10.6.8
In multibeast,
installed system utilities,
voodoo universal drivers,
3rd party sata, esata drivers,
click nullCPUpowerManagement.
Injected 4800 graphics drivers,
Click on MacPro 3,1
applied 64 bit boot screen.

However, after reboot. I still have issue with the apple sign just stuck, not spinning.
I can boot with the iboot disk no problem.

I also applied the broadcomm drivers and got ethernet working.

Problem is that when I go into the appstore, it cannot verify my machine.
I tried applying network device flag using EFI studio and OSX86 tools.
But the problem is that I need to get pass this apple flag just stuck.
It didn't even give me any error. Just stuck.

Any help is appreciated.

You "JACK'd" the preceding post or tread.... that's a NO NO... Read the RULES....

SO I moved this to a new post or thread.

Now to your question.

Snow Leo will not Hard Disk Boot w Your Hardware..... ever.... You will need to use IBoot to Boot up.

Reason... Kernel needs to be patched to run SL w your HARDWARE.

We do not support Patched Kernels !!!

To solve this You need to move to LION or Mountain LION or newer versions of OSX.

THE hardware is bit of a potential issue. You should just install SL on the video of the CPU and remove the ATI card for now then download Whatever version of OSX you want make USB - install OSX get it running the install ATI card.

Saves you a lot of work.

I am not a big fan or Asrock Motherboards... my experience w my x58 one was not pleasant. As you can read my description of the X58 ASROCK "Box from Hell" in my signature.

Best advice is to just do a basic install w basic hardware get it working then add the items you need or want to upgrade. Also do make backup partitions that way you can recover. Instead of re-installing it all over and over and over again.
