Can't install Geforce drivers - 'Installation failed'...

Hi all, i've just installed an EVGA GTX 1070 SC 8gb, but can't get the drivers to install.

It boots into Sierra 10.12.6 without any problems, so I downloaded the correct drivers - WebDriver-378.05.05.25f04 - but I get an 'installation failed' message.

I noticed that the driver install info at the Nvidia website only mentioned Mac Pro's, but i'm running on an iMac 14,2 system description - could that be the problem?

I have attached a screen grab or the failed install and also uploaded my config.plist.

I've since noticed that the Nvidia driver is showing-up in my System Preferences, so I tried the #6 NVRAM fix, but it still doesn't work. It gives me an 'Unable to open NVIDIA driver manager' message (see attached screengrab).

I'm very confused (and frustrated) by this one!

It sounds like you have downloaded a corrupt pkg. I would suggest re-downloading the file - http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/378.05.05.25f04/WebDriver-378.05.05.25f04.pkg

I've just tried that but it didn't work

I still get the 'Failed Installation' message followed by the 'Unable to open NVIDIA driver manager'.

Maybe i've got an issue within the BIOS on my Gigabyte Z77x-UD5H? Is there anything I should be checking within that?
