Then I would suggest you borrow a Mac from a friend or setup a different computer (with a different ethernet) as a hack to accomplish this.

Replace the ethernet card (or add one) with one that has drivers for Snow Leopard.

I have a netgear wifi adapter, but no mac drivers on their site. do you think there are dirvers for it somewhere and would it work?

You would have to find out what device it actually is. As far as I know Netgear does not make WiFi chipsets, they use other companies' chipsets (broadcom, atheros, intel, etc), and package them on a board, market them, etc.

Run DPCIManager with it installed and see what it is.
