I am a regular PC builder and thought I would give a hackintosh build a try since I have various macs around my house and I like my Macs.

I downloaded iboot Haswell and try to boot up on the disc drive, but it gets hung up on the:
reselect your drive, or insert boot media into drive and hit a key..
which I do, and just goes into a loop, getting the same message.
I insured my boot up order is correct on my disc drive and bios is recognizing it.
I have "other" OS selected.
I have set Sata to AHCI.
xmp memory profile set to: Profile1
Disabled Vt-d
I formatted my SSD drive on my mac laptop

I am using an Gigabyte Z97x-UD5H and an Intel i7 4790k (devils canyon) with 32 gig of ram and a
MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G video card...

Any suggestions here would help... getting frustrated

Still not having luck.
My DVD drive is showing up in the bios hierarchy, as is my SSDrive.... so I know they are working.
Just not having luck getting to boot off my DVD... When I set the boot up order, and reset, it gives me the error/command to insert media into drive and reboot... I am stuck in this loop...
Frustrating... I will figure this out I hope...
Have a nice box filled with great hardware that I can't get turned into my Hackintosh...
Help.....

Checked to make sure, I am using a CD.
Still not wanting to boot up from the CD. I did change the boot order in the bios with CD player as first, SSD HD as 2nd.
I know the CD player is working as I can here it spinning up to speed...then I get the "put in boot media in your drive or change boot order screen"
Any ideas here?'

Here is what I am using:
Gigabyte GAZ97x UD5H MB
Samsung EVO 850 SSD
Corsair 650w Gold Cert PS
Crucial Ballistic Sport Ram 4x8gig
I7 4790k Haswell 6 core 3.3
MSI Geforce GTX 970 Gaming 4G Video Card

Did you burn the image to CD rather than copying the files ?

Yes, Double checked that and even burned a new CD copy just a precaution. Still getting the same
screen.
Double checking all my settings in the Bios to make sure they are all right. Seem to be.
Something is amiss and I can't figure out what...

Yeah, I used the iBoot Haswell and I burned it several times with ImgBurn and it didn't work at all.
