HI everybody, first of all my specs

MOBO: MSI X58 Pro-E (Alc 889)
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 650 1GB
CPU: Intel i7 920
SSD: Crucial M4

I have had up and fully running on this machine SL, L, ML, Mavericks and now Yosemite....but...from Mavericks, and now Yosemite, can't get audio working in no way, not HDMI audio, but just green cable audio using VoodoooHDA (last version in Multibeast). In the preference pane (System preferences), all audio devices are properly detected and the sound icon on the bar is visible and not grayed out, but still no sound. Since I read of other people having issues with audio (that worked before) I suppose something is changed concerning audio from Mavericks on...any idea?

thanks

Hi there, don't know if you got your audio working but I had the same problem 'No Audio' on Mavericks I tried everything with No luck. This works for Mavericks on my X58, should work for you I think.

Locate and download Multibeast 5.5.5 for Mountain Lion http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=205

Run Multibeast 5.5.5 select 'ONLY' the following
Drivers & Bootloaders>Drivers>Audio>Realteck ALC8xx>Without DSDT>ALC889

This got my Audio working perfectly on my X58 board.
Hope this helps.
mpmac.
