Hi guys! Finally i've installed SL in my GA-H55M-USB3 with ATI HD5750 and IT WORKS!!! I have full graphics, QE, CI, Ethernet, everything works.

Well... it works everything but sound. I cannot get audio working! I've tried all the Multibeast options, and none have worked (I assume that 889 should be the one, but it didn't worked). Then I downloaded a LOT of versions of AppleHDA.kext and LegacyHDA.kext from kexts.com, and there's no way to get it working. I've also tried AppleAzaliaAudio.kext, AzaliaAudi.pkg and VoodooHDA.

When I go to Preferences => Sound, I have this options:

Digital Out
Headphones
SPDIF Out
SPDIF Out

None of them worked, either.

What I'm doing wrong?

Help me please!

PS: I flashed the BIOS to F7 and i'm using the corresponding DSDT (wich I found in this foru

From my post: GA-H55M-USB3, SUCCESS! Almost Perfect...
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=3730&start=60

Since I can't stop thinking bout my audio problem,I tried the VoodooHDA...
Yes, it made the all the sound work but there's a problems I encountered:
> VoodooHDA Patch Nodes, Codec 1 and 2, didn't bother trying Codec 3
(viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1268)
- Has "Hissing" sounds even no audio is played
> VoodooHDA 0.2.1
- All audio rear lines worked but I wasn't satisfied and I forgot what I was not satisfied with.
> VoodooHDA 0.2.2
- All audio rear lines worked but "Unknown" Output Device showed up in the Sound System preference
> VoodooHDA Experimentals 0.2.56 / 0.2.61
- All audio rear lines worked and again, forgot why I didn't liked bout it.

I was a bit frustrated about the VoodooHDA coz' none of them gave me the result I wanted. What I wanted from my Audio is to make all the Audio works like how it works on Windows... I guess there ain't really a perfect Hackintosh for me then..

Went back using legacyHDA.
>>>PASS!!!
AUDIO: Internal Speakers (Green) - OK!
AUDIO: Line Out, Center/Sub (Orange) - OK!
AUDIO: Line Out, Side (Gray) - OK!
AUDIO: Line-In, Mic (Pink) - OK!
DISPLAY: Dual Screen - OK! (Tested by:Slamdunk)

>>FAIL!!!
AUDIO: Line Out, Rear (Black)

Audio is a bit frustrating to me either...

Here's what you need to do..
>>> Remove Legacy889HDA.kext from E\E
>>> Remove AppleHDA.kext from S\L\E
>>> Remove VooDooHDA from S\L\E or E\E
>>> Remove "Any other Audio Related Kext you've tried to install from S\L\E or E\E
>>> Run Multibeast and Options Selected:
- System Utilities
- Advanced Options > Kexts > Audio > LegacyHDA > ALC889
- Advanced Options > Kexts > Audio > AppleHDA 10.6.2 Rollback
>>> Install
>>> Restart...

THERE's no perfect Audio Output for us using ALC889...

Hi melon, thank you very much for your help!

I must say... that it still not working. This is what I did:

- I moved to the trash AppleHDA.kext and LegacyHDA.kext from S/L/E
- I run Kext Utility to restore permissions and cache
- I run Multibeast and installed only ALC889 and installed only AppleHDA 10.6.2 Rollback (When I checked ALC889 it said "Upgrade" instead of "Install", I don't know why)
- Restarted

Audio not working!

-So I flashed the BIOS again from F7 to F8 and downloaded the F8 DSDT available in the DSDT Database.
-Formatted the entire disk and did a fresh install of Mac OSX Snow Leopard
-The intallation from the retail disk seemed to be normal and it was successfull but it didn't shown the welcome video (it never showed it)

- Updated to Combo 10.6.4
- Installed MultiBeast with custom DSDT (F8)
- System Utilities
- Advanced Options > Kexts > Audio > LegacyHDA > ALC889
- Advanced Options > Kexts > Audio > AppleHDA 10.6.2 Rollback
- ATI 5xxx support, and nothing more
- Finished and restarted

Guess what.... no audio!! :banghead:

What should I do???? :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

If you are using the current version of MultiBeast, when you install Legacy889 it installs AppleHDA Rollback for you.

I think yes! I'm using MultiBeast 2.1.4 , and it's awesome, but I really don't know why i'm stuck with audio!
I'm trying again now, I deleted everything and installed VoodooHDA (just to try, but I think it's not gonna work either). For some strange reason, when I run MultiBeast after the first installation, Legacy ALC889 says "Upgrade" when I check it...

Hmmm... I assume you followed properly the Multibeast selection...
In your "System Profiler" at the Audio (Built-In), Can you see the "Audio ID: 889"?
You sure you plug it on the Green Line-Out? Maybe your speaker is dead?
Also on your System Preferences > Audio, Make sure you have selected "Internal Speakers" on the Output tab...
Hmmm...
Sorry, if this is my best diagnosis I could help you from...

Hey guys!! I finally made it WORK!!!

Now I have a complete OSX system with full Internet, Sound, and Graphics.
I think it must be a temporal solution, but I simply tried connecting my 32w Thonet&Vander speakers to the front panel headphone jack. And... it simply worked, so it wasn't a Kext issue.

The question now is... how could I make it work trough the normal Line-Out jack?

Thanksss!
