Hallo all,
I get this error message "Can't find mach_kernel", if i want to start with with a USB Stick.

This does not help also.

<key>Default Partition</key>
<string>hd(x,x)</string> --> all HD tested

With BootThink (Bootmanager) there are no problems.
Thanks for each assistance.

Do this in the terminal:
sudo cp /mach_kernel *drop you USB volume here*
*your password if it ask (it won't print)*

Should do the trick ;) (You may want to do this after every update ;) )

I too am still getting this error.

Have tried using UniBeast 5.0.1 as on another thread it was advised this would address issue.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Have also tried the fix above, within terminal, but no get a stage further where the grey apple screen flashes then PC reboots....

Make sure that the following 2 lines are not in ANY org.chameleon.Boot.plist on your system:

<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>

This key is no longer necessary and is causing this issue.

Also make sure you choose the USB stick as your Startup disk in the BIOS.
Starting up from the Mavericks HD and then changing to the USB stick in the Boot screen didn't work for me. I had to choose the USB stick with Yosemite in the BIOS screen.
