Hi everyone,

First time Hackintosh builder here. I built my system based on the CustomMac Pro a few days ago,
just with a stronger GPU (GeForce 1080 8GB G1).

System is working great so far. Better than I expected..
still need to fix a few things but the first thing I'm trying to fix is
the keyboard situation.

I have a iogear BT 4.0 adapter (GBU521) and a JETtech keyboard and the only way I can connect them is after loading Sierra
(with a USB keyboard) and then pairing it with the BT keyboard.

Any way I could run it when the bios loads? or any other solution?

Thanks
Dani

You need a bluetooth controller that will operate in HID proxy mode then switch to HCI mode when the OS boots.

I have no idea what you just said, but I'll try to read more about it.

Do you have any recs for a good BT controller?

There's a thread here. I have a CSR A10, but i leave it in HCI so it only works inside the booted OS.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.

So you can't use your computer before the OS loads?

so how do you log in? USB keyboard?

so, I just realized 2 things.
1. If I wait 10-20 seconds after the login screen shows up, I get BT control over the keyboard, which is nice
but it still means that I can't get into the BIOS with it.
2. My logitech m570 trackball mouse works - I can control it when the boot screen comes up asking me which drive to boot,
which led me to buy a similar logitech keyboard that works with the unifying dongle.

I'll report again after it arrives. Lets see if it works like the mouse.
