I have just moved my High Sierra installation to a new hardware from my failed Z77x-up5th. Everything works fine without any issues. However I'm getting "Can't connect to a current Time Machine backup disk" while entering Time Machine. I have to note that it seems I do have a full access to my 2 years worth of backup files through Finder, but for whatever reason the Time Machine app can not connect to the drive.

I believe that something must have gone wrong with permissions. Just wondering if anybody knows what the reference permission set should be in the drive's directory structure?

I've seen a couple of posts online suggesting to change group for Backups.backupdb directory, but it did not help. I have tried also to change group for the user backups inside of that directory, but it does not allow any changes there even for root user, which makes perfect sense.

Would really appreciate any help!

Thanks
