Everytime I try to change my system definition off mac pro 3,1 my ML partition wont boot anymore.

I want to change it to the new imac so I can get native airplay without using airparrot. Anyone have any ideas why as soon as I change it I cannot boot anymore?

Thanks in advance!

anyone have any ideas? Its never happened to me before. Only with ML.

Your specs need to be compatiable and i believe airplay does not work in mountain lion.

Airplay only works in mountain lion......
In fact its a major feature for upgrading -.-

Boot with -v so that you can see what is keeping you from booting.

I can only use certain SMBioses on mine. For instance, I can not use MacPro 5,1. I can use MacPro 3,1 - iMac 12,2 - I believe I can use the Mac Mini 5,1 but it's been a while since I've tried it.
Different SMBioses have different peculiarities if they are bootable.

Did you ever find a solution to this?
