Hi,
I created a bootable Lubuntu USB key (on Windows and then on OS X...) but when I chose to start from the USB in the BIOS my system will just reboot after I chose "Try without installing" and nothing will happen (black screen).
I did also try booting the USB from Clover but same issue.
I also made a bootable USB for Mac and Pc and it works perfectly on my old MacBook Pro, but same issue on my hackintosh : it won't boot.

I feel like I'm missing something, but what could it be?
Thanks a lot!

What Mobo? 10.12.4 is not a motherboard. 6th gen CPU says 170 or 270 chip. Your problem is probably that you created the USB as a Legacy Bios Grub bootable installer.
To install on UEFI systems you need Grub2 64bit UEFI both to boot the installer and to boot the drive once installed.
To get this download the Lubuntu 64 bit (AMD64) version. I have tested on a Z87 build and it will boot a computer with BIOS/UEFI set to UEFI only and CSM disabled.

You also may need to apply https://askubuntu.com/questions/832163/black-screen-when-loading-ubuntu-live-usb fix

Thanks, actually all solved with the link you provided. Used "nomodeset" for booting and it's all good!
