acer Aspire 5570, T2300, GMA 950, specs in signature
Using Sierra, burned iBoot onto a CD.
Updated BIOS to latest version, loaded optimised defaults.
Before:
Booted into iBoot, swapped the CD and entered in boot "-v"
Stuck at "IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 64:87"
Added cpus=1 to get past it (Solution I found on another site)
Now:
Booted into iBoot, swapped the CD and entered in boot "-v cpus=1"
Stuck at "RTC: disableAlarm failed (StatusB = ff)"
Searched on the internet for this and came up with only 5 results from different forums with no solution found.
Tried booting with/without: -x, GraphicsEnabler=No, PCIRootUID=1
With -x, I get one more line after "RTC: disableAlarm failed (StatusB = ff)", "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out"
I followed this guide: 10.6 Installation
Hope to hear from someone soon, Thanks
