Can Use Migration Assistant with TimeMachine Backup

Question on data migration after sierra installation. I have full timemachine backup from Yosemite. Now installed Sierra, will I be able to use the migration assistant and restore my backup without breaking the system. The restore process says it will restore the library folder too.. will it create any problem ? Thanks.

Should be fine. I've never had any issue?

Best to make a booting clone anyway first?
