Hi
I've build my own Hackintosh a couple of months back. It was a Sandy build. And runs perfect!
Now I'm prepearing for a build for my friend.
It's going the be a Ivy Bridge build, but with the same motherboard as I.
Parts:
CPU:
Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge
Motherboard:
GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3
HDD:
Western Digital WD Green - 1TB
RAM:
Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz (2x4)
PSU:
Corsair Builder Series CX430
Optical Drive:
Sony NEC Optiarc AD-7260S-0B Black SATA
There's no GPU because he's not much of a gamer, and the things he want's to play should work fine with the integrated Intel HD4000
Does these parts work together?
I'm using the motherboard, the optical drive and the rams and it works like a dream. But the CPU is a newer generation, the motherboard should be compatible with the Ivy Bridge processors, am I right?
It's mainly going to be used for Logic.
