I've just installed 10.8 on a machine with following hardware:

Gigabyte Z77X UD5H
Nvidia GT 640
i7 3770k
32GB Ram

Everything works flawless, just that I can't boot without writing -x.

Anny suggestions?

Tried GraphicsEnabler=0, CPURootUID=0

Boot with -v and post a screenshot.

-v says "this is an unknown cpu model 0x3a"

I got stock smbios

disable Vt-d in BIOS if its there and enabled and try booting with just -v.

If the above doesn't work try booting with -v -f

-v says "this is an unknown cpu model 0x3a"

I got stock smbios

Don't worry about unknown cpu model, it's not the prob.

What system definition did you use?
