Hi all,
Today I decided to take the plunge and update 10.8 fully working to 10.8.2. At first it wouldn't boot at all apart from safe boot. After replacing the AppleACPIPlatform.kext with the old one from 10.8 as seen in this thread:http://www.tonymacx86.com/os-x-updates/76154-asus-p67-updated-10-8-2-cannot-boot-without-safe-mode.html I was now able to boot fully into the OS but only with the -f flag
If I don't use -f I get a KP with the following error:
Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu 2050.7.9/lokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1546
Any ideas what could be causing this? Also is there any long term problems using -f?
Thanks
