Can I run Mountain lion on my desktop...

Recently saw a 'how to' video on making a Hackintosh, really liked the idea and am up for the challenge but i can't seem to find out whether my hardware is compatible, i really don't want to mess up my desktop so any advice would be great

Asus P7P55-M motherboard with first gen i5 core processor
Radeon HD 4870 graphics card
